1. Be Writers Freelance First
Yes, to be a profitable ghostwriter, it’s a good idea to become a freelance writer first. This is how I got into ghostwriting for influencers.
My high-paying clients also hired me to compose for others or have colleagues who need a ghostwriter.
Being a freelance writer bubuild your credibility with ease. You do not need much in the market offering ghostwriting services. Prospects can see the value of your writing with ease.
Being established also helps with tissue.
When you attract your ideal clients, it will be easier to land a suitable ghostwriting gig. I can not go into detail about how to become a freelance writer, but the general steps in my free course.
Make sure you have the author’s web site set up so you can begin to demonstrate your value as a writer of high salaries. This is ultimately the first step (after you decide you want to become a freelance writer or ghostwriter and knowing the niche topic you want to be paid for).
2. Be a Freelance Editor First
Well. If you feel you do not want to market yourself as a freelance writer, why not become a freelance editor is not it? Many freelance editor to edit the book, and it was a great lead-in to the services of ghostwriting.
Sometimes the client can add your name as one writer as “with” notation or as editor.
3. Get Comfortable Writing Big Projects
The most profitable ghostwriter is one that ghostwrites books. Doctors, financial advisors or attorneys hire ghostwriters to write books or memoirs. Kelly James-Enger is a ghost writer profitable, and he said,
In recent years, my ghosting project has been paid:
$ 20,000 for a 60,000-word book on health
$ 15,000 for a 40,000-word book business
$ 12,000 for a 55,000-word memoir (The book was written but need reworking.)
$ 25,000 for a 80,000-word book nutrition / fitness client I wrote about a third of the script and I wrote the rest
These figures may not be great, but remember that I was paid to write books, do not promote it as well. Once it is completed, which usually takes four to six months, I’m done. I can make up for other people two or three books a year in addition to writing my own books and articles, which makes for a comfortable income.
